Dr Craig Wright has been claiming to be the ‘real’ Satoshi for a long time now. The claims of Craig Wright of being the Satoshi have been questioned by many on the Internet and Social Media platforms and recently, things have been escalating on Twitter. An anonymous Twitter user called ‘Hodlnaut’ has been publicly calling out Craig Wright on being a fraudster and a fake Satoshi. Dr. Craig Wright has decided to take the matters into his own hands and put a bounty of $5,000 for anyone who can reveal the real identity of ‘Hodlnaut’.
Craig Wright’s lawyers had prepared a formal letter, threatening the ‘Hodlnaut’ to take a legal action against him, unless he publicly apologises for it and confirms that Craig Wright is actually the real creator of Bitcoin – Satoshi Nakamoto. His lawyers have also said:
“Wright has not fraudulently claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto. He is Satoshi Nakamoto. He produced the report Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System in October 2008, sent the first Bitcoin to Hal Finney in January 2009 and played an integral part in the development of Bitcoin.”
The letter that was prepared by the lawyers of Craig Wright and directed towards ‘Hodlnaut’ has been published, threatening anyone in the public to face lawsuits if they reject the claims of Craig Wright being the real Satoshi.
It seems like ongoing threats and bounties for those who reveal the identities of the Internet ‘trolls’ have gone too far, according to the CEO of Cryptocurrency exchange Binance. The head of Binance has threatened to delist Bitcoin SV if Craig Wright carries on with his campaign against ‘Hodlnaut’. The CEO of Binance has tweeted:
Of course, at the first sight, you would come up with a question ‘Would Binance CEO get sued for such claim?’. As the lawyers of Craig Wright have pointed out, anyone who rejects Craig of being the real Satoshi, will have to face lawsuits. But, CZ Binance has a response to that too:
It seems like the CEO of Binance is quite confident about his tweets and is capable of facing whatever comes his way, regarding lawsuits and legal letters from the lawyers of Craig Wright.
The community of Binance has been quite enthusiastic about the tweet of CZ Binance and has shown positive comments about it. On the other hand, CZ is staying away from any ongoing debates and rumours about the entire situation. Although, there is a lot of support towards the tweet of CZ, there are still some people that see it as a negative comment. Some Bitcoin SV supporters say that Bitcoin SV does not need the services of Binance and one user has accused CZ of running a ponzi scheme.
It seems that there are still mixed opinions and sort of division between the supporters of Bitcoin and Bitcoin SV. Whether Binance will delist Bitcoin SV is still unclear, but we will be closely following the news.
